Synchronicity completely today. Raphael has been on the blog-to-do-next-list. We have been waiting for Rolling Stones to have their exclusive, for his new video “Radio.”
We got a letter from his “people” (aka Lauren, the superGM) a couple of weeks ago:
“Here is the “Radio” video:
We are shooting another video this weekend for the track “Stone Rollin” – which we of course we will be having more coiled cords!”
And this morning Ted came in to tell me he just put together a gift package for Ray for the Dice Cables we have been promising for about a month (we totally suck at artist relations, I must admit, but we do our best).
Then, I get this twitter update from TheGRAMMYs: Big news! Mick Jagger will perform live on the GRAMMYs for the 1st time, accompanied by Raphael Saadiq (@rayraysaadiq)! http://bit.ly/eU6j1d
Then I get this in my google alerts: ET Online reports
Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger is about to bring his famous “Jagger swagger” to the Grammy performance stage for the first time at the ripe age of 67.
The Recording Academy broke the news that Jagger, who is a past recipient of an academy Lifetime Achievement Award, will perform live for the “In Memoriam” segment that honors those we’ve lost in the music community at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards telecast airing Sunday, February 13th on CBS.
Now would be a good time to share a back log video that came out a few weeks:
Congrats Raphael! You so deserve this! (And so does Mick.)
